Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers make our organization's work a success. From donating one or two hours of service a month to serving on our Board of Directors and running our committees, volunteers keep our organization alive and active.

Join our enthusiastic and dedicated team of volunteers! We offer a wide variety of opportunities in education, conservation, and organizational support. Our Programs Coordinator will work with you to find activities that match your interests, skills, and availability. We can tailor your time commitment to a weekly, monthly, or even quarterly basis. As a volunteer, not only will our Audubon Society Chapter and the larger community benefit from your support, but you will have the opportunity to learn new skills, explore areas of interest, meet other people, and feel a sense of accomplishment and community.

Possum Long Nature Center, aka PLNC, has a never ending ever changing list of "To Do's". If you can help, especially during of the summer when plants get their spurt of growth, with any of these continuing, recurring and to be found projects please contact Ric or Pam to let them know what you want to do. Sometimes just a walk through the forest and grounds can give you the idea of what you can do to help. Click here for the short list of projects; this by no means is all there is to do. Once you read the list you will realize how much we need your help. Thanks if you can help.
