Scrub Jay watchers find “new” plant

AoMC members Pam Hopkins and Jim Kearman discovered a plant previously undocumented in Martin County. But they weren’t looking for plants, they were looking for Scrub Jays.

Bluebird Survey

Some members of AoMC accompanied Executive Director Greg Braun on a short Bluebird survey along the route 714 corridor this morning. We found Bluebirds, but they were too far away for good photos. We did get close enough to some other animals for good pix, though. More information on the survey, our plans to put up and monitor Bluebird nest boxes — and how you can participate — will appear in an upcoming issue of The Scrub Jay.
